I'd like to add one to the list (if you don't mind, Maria). Be honest about your abilities. I've had many opportunities to voice projects that I knew were beyond my abilities (celebrity impersonations, for example), so I turned down the opportunity (but took the extra step to help them find talent that would better serve their specific needs). I needed a prescription filled at Walgreens recently, but it was a prescription they didn't have, so they called CVS to get order filled close to my home. I couldn't believe it. It's like Pepsi calling Coke because you're thirsty. That only deepens loyalty to Walgreens, in my opinion.
Make the customer feel like you're honest and you really care about their needs, because...well, you really do.
